A colourist from the beginning of his artistic career, Tetsis studied in Paris after completing his training in Athens. His interest in colour was twofold: not only as a means for creating forms but for its expressive qualities as well. His preferred themes included landscapes, still lives and scenes from everyday life. In this work, Tetsis has captured the bustling urban life ”constructing” the view with a limited range of colours.
