Special Information for the Artist
He was born in 1963 in Athens. After drawing lessons (1982-1983) by T. Rigas, he made studies in painting (1984-1989) at the School of Fine Arts, in the workshop of H. Dekoulakos, and then engraving (1991-1994), in the workshop of A. Exarchopoulos. He presented his first solo exhibition in 1990 and was followed by others. Among the group exhibitions, where he has participated, are the exhibitions "Young Greek Engravers" (Athens 1994), "Modern Greek Engraving" (Luxemburg 1994) etc. He has taught painting. He has also worked on book illustrations. His work focuses on studying the relationship of space and the human form. Through studies of light and project, he attempts to attribute mental states by introspective mood and emotional qualities and sometimes nostalgic texture.
