Alikarnassos 1878 - Mykonos 1948
Painter of subjects related to traditional customs, rulal scenes and landscape compositions. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Art in Munich under Gyzis, among others, and travelled all over the Greek islands. In his paintings of traditional subjects he does not diverge from the formal features of the Munich School, while more personal expressions can be detected in his depictions of the seaman's life.
