BIOGRAPHY

He studied design in Cairo and later in Paris, where he settled in 1955. In Paris, he studied architecture and interior design and decoration at Ecole Superieure des Arts Jodern (1956 – 1957) and painting at Academie de la Grande Chaudiere (1957 – 1961) under German DAAD’ s scholarship, which allowed him to work in Berlin and also teach at the Schiller College (1971 – 1973). His first attempts, especially between 1955 – 1960, follow the paths of abstract expressionism. From 1970 and on, he focused on creating new places, traffic signs and personal combinations.
