Special Information for the Artist
Born in Petrokefali, Irakleio, Crete in 1948.
She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1967-1972), with teacher G. Moralis, and the art of vitrail at École des Arts Appliques et des Metiers d' Art (1972-1974) in Paris. Her work is moved in the frames of schematic productivity with symbolic character and it is organized in units, from which the most important are: Leaves, where the leaves engage a meaning live, living beings, landscapes, that are characterized by the juxtaposition of violent brushstroke with a calm background as well as Classic Art, Greek-Christian culture and Portraits.
