Special Information for the Artist
Nikos Tziotis was born in Athens in 1950, he attended painting classes at the School of Fine Arts for two years. Since 1975 he settled in Paris, continuing his career in art as a self-taught. He dealt with sculptures, constructions and video.
In his first exhibitions had presented dirt cubes surrounded by small lighting sources. In late 1990 he began to organize sculptural figures' sections in space and use cement and marble as a surface to mold shapes and carve texts. He later went on to use other materials and created videos. One of the most important exhibitions took place in 1997 the House of Cyprus.
