Special Information for the Artist
It appears that in his painting, brings acquaintance of N. Kantouni’s work, while he studied systematically at the Academy of Good Arts of Venice. He took part in exhibitions that became in Venice and in 1847 he got back in Greece. During the period 1856 to1862, he was teaching drawing and painting in Arsakeio. He has painted historical subjects, but was distinguished particularly in portraits.
His painting is moved in the climate of academic realism and combines exterior conformity and internal truth.
