Special Information for the Artist
An artist who was especially fond of landscapes and seascapes, he studied at School of Fine Arts in Athens under Κ. Volanakis, Nikiforos Lytras and Roilos. He never managed to dissociate his style completely from the artistic climate of his teachers and in many of his efforts, he remains academic. His depictions of both land and sea are imbued with a special vitality which is due to the radiant chromatic structure of his material as the light he conveys is not harsh and palpable, but has been filtered through fleeting highlights of colour.
