Special Information for the Artist
He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1920-1926) under G. Iakovidis, S. Vikatos, D. Geraniotis, G. Roilos and N. Lytras. In 1930, he moved to Paris where he stayed until 1936. He attended painting classes at Grande Chaumiere and Colaross and engraving, mostly on wood, at D. Galani’s workshop. His paintings are portraits of friends and family, and also landscapes of Mount Athos. He refreshed his colour scale and attitude, after trips he had to Paris, Italy and Spain. His contact with the American art in 1959 and his trips renewed his artistic expressions. He has presented his paintings in many solo exhibitions.
