Special Information for the Artist
Corfu 1859 - Athens 1926
An artist of historical themes as well as seascapes, who used both the techniques of oil painting and watercolor painting in his works. Son of the painter Spyros Prosalentis and grandson of the sculptor and painter Pavlos Prosalentis, he began his studies close to his father and completed them in Paris. Although somewhat academic in his seascapes, he moves in a more spontaneous manner when dealing with historical themes.
