He was born in Brachneika of Patra in 1951. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts from 1975 to 1980, under the professor G. Mavroidis and painting, under K. Xynopoulos. He continued his studies at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris from 1981 to 1984, in the workshop of Pierre Carron with a scholarship of the French state. He attended engraving at the same school. He deals for many years with pottery as an amateur in the workshops of Maria Karakatsanis, D. Trakadas and C. Rozos.
