1976-77: Ford Foundation Fellowship at the Institute Tamarint of New Mexico
In the part of Lithography under Garo Andrezian and John Summers.
Liana Papaioannou was born in Athens and studied at the Fine Arts taught by Costas Grammatopoulos.
During 1968-1975 she was an assistant at the headquarters of engraving.
She has presented 15 solo exhibitions in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion and Chania, Crete, Cyprus Nicosia, Potenza Italy, Spain and Madrid.
She has participated in many national exhibitions, and in the following exhibitions of painting and Engraving:
In 14 international exhibitions in Europe, USA and Moscow, the National Gallery of Athens and Warsaw, and "Famagusta Gate " Nicosia Cyprus.
In 9 Biennale in Paris and in Ljubljana Varna of Yugoslavia, in Berlin, Miami of Florida and Biella of Italy.
It takes prize at the International Color Woodcut Printmaking Competition in Ferrol, Spain twice in consecutive participations.
Her works are in the National Gallery, the Municipal Gallery of Molivos (Lesvos), the Gallery of the National Bank of Greece in the Collection of Ionian and popular Bank (ALPHA BANK), in the insurance companies, Atlantic Union, Interamerican and in many private collections in Greece and abroad.
She was a member of the Board of EETE for four years (two consecutive terms) member of the Union of Greek Engravers.
