Hydra 1909 - 1986
An artist with a great many interests as well as an excellent professor at ASFA between 1964-75. Nikolaou began his studies in painting at ASFA where he attended courses from 1929 to 1936. In 1937-38 he continued his studies in Rome and Paris, where he became familiar with the advances of the new European currents. In 1936, when he was still quite young, he took part in group exhibitions while his first personal exhibition was held in 1948. He has had particular success in paintings and murals.
