Special Information for the Artist
He was born in Chalkida, in 1934.
He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts (1953-1957) under S. Papaloukas and G. Moralis. He also studied scenography at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs (1961-1964) in Paris, under F. Labisse and J.L.Barrault, and parallel attended classes in interior design at the Ecole d'Arts et Metiers. After completing his studies and return to Athens in 1964, he became Director of the Laboratory of Interior Design at the ATI-in 1969 was appointed assistant in the Department of Fine Arts in Painting, where in 1977 he was elected professor.
Visual artist with multidisciplinary activity and performance in many areas, has had great production drawings and paintings, set design and costume studies, and applied art creations: decoration of buildings, design carpets, decoration of utilitarian objects, games, illustration book covers, magazines, disks and theatrical programs, billboards, cartoons, etc.
