BIOGRAPHY

Wife of D. Mytaras. She was born in Piraeus in 1935. She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under G. Moralis & S. Papaloukas. She continued her education in Paris (1961-1964) where she studied textile design and fabric at the «Ecole des Arts Decoratifs», and interior architecture at the «Ecole des Metiers d'Art». Considers crucial it was for her work and the same influences that received during an apprenticeship for one year at the School of K.Koun. Her painting is stylistically oriented to an atmosphere of metaphysical realism with prominent and powerful symbolisms.
She has presented her work in solo exhibitions ("Astor" 1965, "Nees Morfes" 1975, 1978, and 1983) and has participated in group exhibitions (Pan-Hellenic 1960, 1965, 1967 etc).

She also taught in secondary education at Vakalo School and Athens School of Fine arts. In 1978 she founded with D.Mitaras in Chalkis the Art Lab which manages on her own. She is a member of EETE.
