Alex Mylonas was born in Athens in
1923 . In 1945 entered Athens School of Fine a rts and studied sculpture in 1950 under Professor Michalis Tombros. She was a founding member and vice president of Greek Women Artists’ Association. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.n 1960 she represented Greece at the Venice Biennale IV along with the painters Ioannis Spyropoulos, Alekos Kontopoulos and the sculptor Lazaros Lameras. In 1967 participated in the International Biennale of Montreal in Canada and in an artists’ exhibition in Geneva. In 1986 a retrospective exhibition was organized at the National Gallery and in 2004 inaugurated in Athens the Museum of Contemporary Art Alex Mylona. "
Her early efforts had as a thematic starting point the human form-stylized- where someone can recognize in many of them the acquaintance with the Giacometti’s and Zadkine’s work.
