Special Information for the Artist
Giorgos Mougios was born in Patras in 1907 and died in Athens in 1983.
He attended painting classes at the School of Fine Arts (1927-1929), close to G. Iacovidis, G. Roilos, D. Geraniotis and S. Vikatos. Financial reasons forced him to quit school. In 1947, he began painting and in the period between 1949-1952, he studied close to S. Vikatos.
The feature of his work is the constantly changing style. He mostly painted landscapes and still lifes and compositions of human figures that delivers realistic.
He presented his work in solo ("Parnassus", 1952, 1954, 1955, 1963, 1982, "Delphi", 1974, etc.) and took part in group exhibitions (Panhellenic 1963, 1967, 1969, 1971 etc. )
His works are found in EPMAS etc. He was a member of EETE.
