He was born in 1936 in Kato Theodoraki of Kilkis from parents, refugees from Pontos. Since 1960 he lives permanently in Thessaloniki.
He worked successively in «Art", the secretariat of NTNG, in the secretariat of the International Film Festival, also visiting medical of a pharmaceutical company as art editor in newspapers "Makedoniki Ora " and "Thessaloniki".
Also known as a painter, he presents works from 1962, while in 1972 he founded and directed until 1986 the gallery 'Kochlias', the first professionally organized art gallery in Thessaloniki. From 1987 to 1995 was director of Vellideio Cultural Centre. He appeared in literature in 1964 and released the following books: "Field of smell" (prose, 1964), "persistence of vision, metaisthima" (prose, 1986), "Exercises in Sand" (prose, 1994, National Story Award), which is included in the aggregated version with the two previous books, and "dream voyage" (Autobiography, 1998).
His writings have been translated into English, French and German. His song lyrics were set to music by Thanos Mikroutsikos and were interpreted by Dimitra Galani and Dimitris Mitropanos etc.
