Special Information for the Artist
Born in Cairo, in 1924.
He lived in Alexandria from 1928 up to 1967 and afterwards was settled permanently in Athens. Was taught painting in Alexandria from the teachers N. Gogos and A. Angelopolos and in Cairo from the J. Hilbert.
He mostly paints landscapes, still-life paintings and human forms, using apart from the traditional techniques (oil and paintbrushes) hard building materials which he reforms creating a peculiar figurative space.
Important place in his work possess the Greek landscapes where the light has a dominant role.
