Special Information for the Artist
Spyros Kritikos was born in Aegion in 1960.
Having graduated High School he studied Byzantine icon-painting and hagiography in Athens alongside Yannis Vassilopoulos.
From 1981 to 1986 he studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts where he was taught by Yannis Moralis, Dimitris Mitaras and Marina Lambraki –Plaka.
From 1987 to 1990 under the scholarship of the Athens School of Fine Arts, (Spiros Vikatos bequest) he continued his studies in Paris, at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, where he studied under the supervision of Vladimir Velickovic and Henri Cueco, and then at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs, where he was taught by Denis Rival.
His work is included in many public and private collections in Greece and France.
