BIOGRAPHY

He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1920-1929). During 1928-1939 he collaborated with various newspapers and magazines as cartoonist and participated in all common reports Cartoonists Union. In 1939 he was engaged by the Bank of Greece and were specialized in the chalcographic mapping out of portraits and representations for banknotes in the National Bank of Austria. His themes include dead natures, nudes, landscapes, boats, ancient and religious subjects. He presented his work individually (PKD Alexandria 1957, Greek-American Union 1969, Hyacinth 1981, 1996, Room of Art Irakleios 1982, EPMAS 1987, Art gallery Sparta 1990, Bafopoyleio PK Thessaloniki 1990 etc.) and took part in group exhibition as well. He also dealt with illustrating poetic collections, album and short stories with woodcuts and drawings from 1945 as well as with the Greek stamp the decade of 1950. He was a founding member of the team "Free Artists", member of the Team Greek Painters-image graver, international Union of Wood designers ‘Xylon’ and KEE (EETE).
