BIOGRAPHY

Thessaloniki 1930 - Athens 2004

He studied at the School of FIne Arts in Athens under the teacher Gianni Morali while he worked in the workshops of N. Nikolaou and G. Spyropoulos. In 1955 he moved to Italy, where he worked until 1960 while taking part in the movement of Art Informel and abstract expressionism. A founding member of the movement of MEC-ART. Since then and until 1981 he lives and works in Paris, when he returned to Greece as a professor in the School of Fine Arts in Athens. In 1991 he was elected dean of the School of Fine Arts in Athens for four years. In 1988 he represented Greece at the Venice Biennale. In 2000 he created the work Ουρά  for the metro station Omonia.
