Special Information for the Artist
George Katimertzoglou was born in 1965 in Athens. Very early, he began drawing lessons under T. Rigas. Parallel, he studied painting and worked with well known and renowned painters such as Peter Vampoulis, Elias Katz and others, because he was interested in Byzantine Art. Being fascinated by the mystical traditions of the East, he studied works of Fotis Kontoglou, Papaloukas and others. G. Katimertzoglou is a member of the Artistic Chamber of Greece and has presented his work in group and solo exhibitions. Also, his works and wall sets are in many temples in Greece, Cyprus and America, and recently painted the church of Constantinos and Helen, in Moschato.
