Special Information for the Artist
Born in Athens, 1954.
He studied at the preliminary laboratory of the Athens School of Fine Arts, and scenography at the Cinema-Theater School of L. Stavrakou and painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti Firenze (1978).
Basic theme of his compositions is the human form, mainly the feminine one. In his first work, he uses symbolic elements, while the feminine forms acquire monumental dimensions and overwhelm entire the painting surface. Afterwards, his approach become more psychological, the use of colour expressionistic and the human figure is presented intensely deformed. He works in the secondary education. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts.
