Special Information for the Artist
He was born in Thrace in 1877 and died in 1965 in Athens. After his apprenticeship near the painters of Mount Athos, he studied painting at the School of Fine Arts under Nikiforos Lytras and then at the Munich Academy, under H. von Zugel. He taught at technical schools of various cities (Patras, Plomari, Lesvos and Chios). His work moves in realism. He painted portraits, landscapes, genre paintings and compositions. He has presented his work in Mytilini ("Association of Labour Providers" 1924), Chios, Kavala (Hall Club, 1929) etc.
