Aidini, Asia Minor 1868 - Athens 1942
He began as a science student but dropped out to study painting in Munich at the studio of G. Jakobides. In 1887 he was admitted to the Academy where he studied under N. Gyzis. On his return to Greece, he studied with N. Lytras. In 1993 he was awarded the Chrysovergoio Prize. His work includes portraits and still life, but his best work is in a kind of impressionist pastoralism.
