Special Information for the Artist
He was born in Athens in 1947.
He studied at the Athens School of Fine arts (1975-1980) under G. Morali.
The person and his environment constitute the main subject of his work. His work is characterized by austerity and everyday routine but also by monumental disposal and architectural references. Previously the surface is getting more geometrical by a certain exterior source, while later his compositions become many-faced, the chromatic scale is enriched and are given social extensions.
Thematic units of his work: Figures of city, Figures of Athens etc. Obvious is the effect of Byzantine art. He works also as hagiographer. He has published articles with subjects of figurative interest.
