Special Information for the Artist
He was born in Athens in 1927. He studied law and parallel painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts, near S. Vikatos and O. Argyros. From 1947 to 1955, he studied at the Ecole du Louvre and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He has won the Oscar of Painting (Monte Carlo, 1949), Gold Medal of the City of Paris (1951) etc. He has presented his work in solo exhibitions («R. Duncan», Paris, 1949, «Barbedienne», Paris 1951, "Parnassos" 1953, 1992, Italian Institute 1955, "Galaxy" 1967, etc.) and has taken part in group exhibitions («Salon des Independants», Paris, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, Salon d'Hiver, Paris, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, National 1952, 1957, 1960, 1963, 1967, 1971, 1973 etc.). His works can be found in EPMAS, the Municipal Gallery of Athens and Rhodes, the Petit Palais, the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, Jerusalem. He is a member of EETE.
