Special Information for the Artist
Ilias was born on the 10th of May 1966, in Mannheim, Germany from Greek parents.
In 1976 at the age of 10 years, he was registered in the Conservatory of Athens which specialises in the Byzantine Music of Dositheos Paraskevaidis, a monk who lived at Mount Athos. In 1984 he was recommended to the Law of Aristotelian University in Thessalonica. He initiated the program in Fine Arts with the help of the Painter and Iconographer Christos Liondas, while at the same time he studied in Athens at the School of Fine Arts and in the department of Architecture of Metsovio of Technical University as a listener. He served as a Reservist Officer in the Greek Army. He successfully completed an independent course in the professional track in 1992. He was a Member of Chamber of Figurative Arts Greece, Pan - Hellenic Association of Iconographers and International Association of Art and Chairman of Iconographers Department - Decorative, Chamber and Cashier of Administrative Council until 2010. He is presently the Chairman of the Pan - Hellenic Association of Iconographers.
He decorates HolyTemples and Abbeys, as well as private collections. Up till the present day, he has completed the following works:

• the Holy Abbey of St. Nicodeme in Gortynia
• the Holy Temple St. Georgios in Nea Zoi Athens
• the Holy Temple of Great Antonios in Mandra Athens
• the Metropolitan Temple St. Anargyroi in Nea Ionia Athens
• the Catholic Church of the Holy Abbey Osios David of Gerontos in North Evia
• the Holy Temple of the Annunciation in Istiaia North Evia
• the Holy Temple St. Nikolaos in Asmini North Evia
• the Cathedral of Saint Markella in Astoria of New York
• the Holy Chapel of the Birth of St. John the Baptist in New York
• the Chapel of the Holy Temple of St. Paul in Patra
• the Holy Abbey of Saint Nikolaos in Andros island
• the Holy Abbey of the Metamorphosis in Livanates
• the Holy Temple of the Holy Trinity in Athens, and many other works in Cyprus, France, Germany, Brazil, etc.
He portraited many Holy figures of old and modern among which include:
• the Archbishop Serafeim
• the Metropolite of Nea Ionia, Konstantinos
• Timotheos of Patara, Timotheos II of Nea Ionia
• Iakovos the holy Father of Osios David in North Evia
• the former Bishop of Florina Chrysostomos, and others.
His prototype works and thumbnails of manuscripts are published and distributed in Greece as well as abroad. He also writes articles about culture and art which are published in daily newspapers and in periodicals. Besides, he participates in Pan-Hellenic and international exhibitions which take place in various countries including Italy, Jerusalem, Hong-Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, France, Germany, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Russia, and Ireland.
