Special Information for the Artist
He was born in Athens in 1954. He studied painting and scenography-decoration in the Athens School of Fine Arts (graduate of 1978), under G. Moralis and V. Vasileiadis. With scholarship of the School of Fine Arts he studied painting at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and attended courses of Art History and archaeology in the University of Nanterre, Paris X. In the beginning of his evolutionary development there is a preference in the imaginary landscape, while afterwards an internal orientation is attempted and a tendency of shading internal pictures. The mixing of drawing and colour creates an evocative atmosphere, from where emerge mysterious forms.
