BIOGRAPHY

He was born in Ioannina in 1947. He graduated from the “Zosimaia” School in 1964. He studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts under G. Pappas. He graduated in 1970 with a prize of nudity and other honors. By receiving an IKY scholarship, he travelled and studied about the Greek art. With an E.O.E.CH. scholarship, went to England where he attended classes at the Workshop of Sculpture and Ceramics at West Surrey College of Art. From 1975 to 1977, he stayed in Paris where he attended courses of sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux Arts at the laboratory of Cesar and ceramics at the Ecole Superieure des Arts et Metiers. In January 1977, exhibits at “Nees Morfes” Gallery works of this period. In 1978 he creates with his colleagues, the Sculptors Association in order to organize outdoor exhibitions for the promotion of the contemporary sculpture. In 1981, he took part, representing Greece, in Balkan Exhibition of Bucharest. In 1981, he was elected as a curator of EETE and the same period he begins his collaboration with the architects Antonakakis. He has participated in several symposium of sculpture and has had several solo exhibitions in galleries. Since 2001, he taught at the Athens School of Fine Arts as a professor.
