Special Information for the Artist
He was born in 1954 in Athens. He studied painting at the Hammersmith School of Art and the St. Martin's School of Art in London from 1971 to 1975. In 1977, he organized his first solo exhibition at “Ora” Gallery. Since then, he has organized many solo exhibitions in galleries and institutions of contemporary art such as MOMA/PS1 of New York and the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens. In 1992, he participated in the international contemporary art exhibition “Documenta IX” in Kassel and in 2005 he represented Greece at the 51st Venice Biennale.
