BIOGRAPHY

Born in Thessaloniki, in 1941.

He studied painting at the Fine Arts (1961-1965), under G. Moralis. He continued his studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (1970-1972) in Paris.

His art is mostly human centered and autobiographical. This does not concern only the subjects his themes but also in direct emotional relationship that maintains with the visual means, at all stages of editing a project. The study of the image of the human body is a permanent feature of his work.

He has presented his work in many solo exhibitions:

His works can be found in the Municipal Gallery of Athens, Rhodes, Averof, in MIET Collection, Vorres Museum, the Library of the Hellenic Parliament, etc.

He has published texts in catalogs, magazines and other literary forms, while engaged in articles on topics in art journals. Since 1989, he teaches painting at the School of Fine Arts as a professor.

He was a member of "Group D Art" (1960-1967), the group of "Young Greek Realists" (1971-1973), the "Group communication and education in art" (1976-1981) and the Center of Engraving (from 1988), participating in most events of these groups. He is a member of EETE (Chamber of Fine Arts).
