Special Information for the Artist
He was born in Patra, in 1891 and died in Athens, in 1947.
Biskinis, whose family was from Zakynthos, began studying art at Athens School of Fine Arts, under Bolanachi and Roilos, but dropped out because failed the exams.
Later after having left Athens for a while, returned and continued under Jakobides and Geraniotis; this was the beginning of his award-winning period.
He continued his studies in Paris and, in 1929, was appointed professor of Decorative Arts and Perspective. His works often describe Greek culture and customs, and despite their symbolic style, they are almost realistic in mood, and distinguished for their careful design.
