Special Information for the Artist
Asantour Baharian was born in 1924 and died in 1990. He grew up in a refugee settlement of interwar Athens. He studied at Athens School of Fine Arts. When he was twenty years old he was deprived of liberty and at his thirty six years he regained it. The fifteen years that intervened in the bleak backdrop of prison and of exile, the young activist continues painting.
In 1962 he opened an advertising agency, named "Time", where planning documents and packages while he taught graphic design at the Vakalo School. The balance of his new situation reversed by dismal political climate of 1967. In 1969 he transformed into an artistic and intellectual center. With the support of friends and associates, Baharian channel his fighting spirit in this project: to contribute to an effort that aims to awaken the numb reflexes of the spiritual world.
