BIOGRAPHY

He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts at the beginning of the century and then he continued his studies in Paris. He was appointed as a professor of Line and Free drawing and starting in 1919 as special Painting instructor, at the School of Architecture of the National Polytechnic School of Athens, positions that he held until his death. He executed many Hagiographies. It must be noticed that he was one of the first artists who tried to restore the Byzantine style back to Church paintings. In 1912 he decorated the summer theatre of Tripolis. He made individual exhibitions (in his atelier 1916, New Room 1919). He also took part in group exhibitions. He was a founding member of SEK.
