Rajput, miniatures of Rajput
A certain type of art that flourished from the late 16th to the 18th century in the courts of Rajput, in northwestern India. The two main Schools and expressions of this art are the miniatures of Rajasthan and Pahari. The art of Hindu kings and warriors of Rajput, who succumbed to the Mongol emperors in the early 17th century, combines the Hindu symbolism to the realism of Mongol miniatures.
