Rayonism
(FR, rayon = radius): Movement that was founded in 1911/2 by the Russian painter M. Larionov, in collaboration with his wife, also painter, N. Goncharova. According Larionov, the "subject" of Rayonist paintings should be parallel or intersecting light rays. The result of these experimentations was a series of almost abstract paintings, which with their emphasis on the dynamic lines and movement are approaching the works of Futurists and the pursuits of Delaunay.
