Group of Seven
A group of Canadian painters of landscapes (Frederick Varley, Franklin Carmichael, Arthur Lismer, James MacDonald, Alexander Young Jackson, Frank Johnston, Lawren Harris) which has been very active in the decades of 1920 and 1930. By focusing on the design and color and the preference for decorative and also characteristic Canadian landscapes were the main characteristics of their painting.
