Nabi
A group of artists who exposed together from 1891 to 1900. Their common style was largely influenced by the paintings with the placata, pure colors and the bold outlines of Gauguin. Members of this team were Édouard Vuillard, Bonnard, Ker-Xavier Roussel, Maillol, etc., and Maurice Denis was the one who with a series of articles developed their ideas. One of their most suitable expressive means was lithography, which they successfully used in books’ illustrations, posters and theatrical decorations.
