Collage
Composition which is consisted by various materials (string, newspaper clippings, photos, cardboard, cloth, etc.) glued to a canvas -sometimes combined with painted or designed parts. Collage was widely used by Cubists, Dadaists and Surrealists. Matisse and a series of other artists were using a very relevant technique that was called “papier colle” (the difference was that instead of various ready objects were sticking to canvas some pieces of paper in different spot colors).
