Degenerate Art
The official term-category of the Nazi regime for the work of artists like Beckmann, Coride, Chagall, Dix, Feininger, Grosz, Kandinsky, Klee, Kokoschka, Marc, Modersohn-Becker, etc. The Government of Nazi 'relieved' the public galleries of all their "degenerate" exhibits, some of which "were delivered to the public contempt" an exhibition that was organized in Munich in 1937.
