Gobelines
Initially, was a company of Paris carpets, which was transformed by Louis XIV and Combler to the Royal Crown Crafts Furniture (in 1662). The aim of this transformation was twofold: on the one hand, the royal palaces to be supplied with furniture and on the other hand to develop a State agency of construction of luxury goods in order to limit the relevant imports. As a head of this new organization was placed the painter, Charles Lempren, who not only was planning any kind of furniture, but ran with great success workshops, who made carpets, furniture, sculptures, gold and silver objects, cars, even padlocks!
