Book with woodcuts
Old type of illustrated book. Both the text and the illustrations etched and printed together in two-page or four-page from the same plate of wood (matrix). Although it was quite common in the second half of the 15th and 16th century (mainly in the Netherlands and Germany), included only a few titles. Ars moriendi and Biblia pauperum (= Bible of the poor) are the best known examples of this kind.
