Ready-made
(ready object): In the art of 20th century, each daily use, usually mass-produced, object which is «acclaimed» as a work of art by an artist. M. Duchamp, who is considered the father of this genre, drew a distinction between “ready-mades” and “objets trouves”, arguing that the ready-mades are not related to taste or aesthetic criterias but are "art" just because they have been selected for this purpose by the artist. Several artists of our times have used ready-mades as elements of their work (Pop Art).
